Ventilation Butterfly Valve

Ventilation butterfly valve is a pipeline control device used in ventilation and environmental protection engineering in industries such as chemical, building materials, power plants, and glass. It is mainly used for flow regulation or cutting off of dusty cold and hot gas media. It adopts a centerline butterfly plate and short structural steel plate welding design, with a compact structure, light weight, no connecting rod bolts inside, low failure rate and long service life.

This valve adopts a metal sealing system and is suitable for working conditions with a temperature ≤ 300 ℃ and a nominal pressure of 0.1MPa. It supports multiple driving modes such as manual, electric, and pneumatic, and the butterfly plate can rotate the control medium within a range of 90 °. According to the sealing form, it can be divided into three categories: forced sealing, pressurized sealing, and automatic sealing. The connection methods include clamp type and flange type. During installation, it is necessary to maintain a horizontal position, the flow direction of the medium must be consistent with the valve body identification, and pass strength and tightness tests. Compliant with standards such as GB/T 12238, with a nominal diameter coverage of 50-2000mm, suitable for dusty gases such as coal gas and flue gas.

Ventilation butterfly valve is a non sealed butterfly valve widely used in production processes such as building materials, metallurgy, mining, and electricity. It is used for connecting, opening, closing, or regulating the flow rate of media in pipelines with a medium temperature ≤ 300 ℃ and a nominal pressure of 0.1Mpa.

Installation key points

1. The installation position, height, and inlet/outlet direction should meet the design requirements, and the direction of medium flow should be consistent with the arrow direction marked on the valve body. The connection should be firm and tight.

2. Before installing the valve, a visual inspection is required, and the valve nameplate should comply with the current national standard "General Valve Marking" GB 12220. For valves with a working pressure greater than 1.0 MPa and a shut-off function on the main pipeline, strength and tightness tests should be conducted before installation, and they can only be used after passing the tests. During the strength test, the test pressure shall be 1.5 times the nominal pressure, and the duration shall not be less than 5 minutes. The valve shell and packing shall be qualified if there is no leakage. During the tightness test, the test pressure is 1.1 times the nominal pressure; The duration of the experiment meets the requirements of GB 50243.
