The calculation of pipeline wind speed for bag filter refers to the velocity m/s of the dusty gas entering the bag filter through the pipeline, mainly determined by the properties of the dusty gas to determine the wind speed inside the pipeline airflow.

If the airflow speed inside the pipeline is too low, dust in the dusty gas is prone to accumulate in the pipeline. However, if the airflow speed is too high, the resistance of the air duct increases, and the dust in the dusty gas also increases the wear on the inner wall of the pipeline. The wind speed inside the horizontal or inclined pipeline should be greater than the velocity of dust or dust suspension in the dusty gas, and should be greater than the gas flow velocity in the vertical pipeline.

For dusty gases containing fiber dust and light specific gravity, such as sawdust, textiles, cotton wool, etc., lower airflow speeds can be used. For dusty gases containing heavy mineral dust ratios, such as lime, cement, iron powder, etc., higher airflow speeds can be used.

Relatively speaking, the gas after passing through the bag filter is purified clean gas, impure in dust or dust precipitation and accumulation problems. At this time, the airflow velocity through the exhaust pipe or chimney can be appropriately reduced, with a gas flow rate of 6-12m/s.

Selection of Small Diameter for Bag Dust Collector Pipeline

In order to avoid blockage of the bag filter pipeline, according to the nature of the dust, the small diameter of the pipeline containing fine dust in the dusty gas should not be less than ¢ 100mm, the small diameter of the pipeline containing coarser particles in the dusty gas should not be less than ¢ 150mm, and the small diameter of the pipeline containing viscous dust or larger block mixed dust in the dusty gas should not be less than ¢ 200mm.
