The filter cartridge is the core of the filter cartridge dust collector, like its "heart", responsible for the main dust removal work. The filter cartridge is usually composed of filter material, support frame, and end cap.
Filter material is the key to achieving efficient filtration, and common filter materials include polyester fiber, glass fiber, etc. Polyester fiber filter material has good wear resistance and flexural resistance. After special surface treatment, it can effectively prevent dust adhesion, improve filtration efficiency and dust removal effect; Fiberglass filter materials have higher filtration accuracy and can capture smaller dust particles, commonly used in working conditions with extremely high dust removal requirements. The filter material is generally folded into pleats, which increases the filtering area, increases the dust holding capacity in limited space, and prolongs the service life of the filter cartridge.
The supporting skeleton provides structural support for the filter cartridge to prevent deformation and collapse of the filter material under negative pressure, ensuring stable operation of the filter cartridge. The end cap is used to fix the filter cartridge and tightly connect it to the dust collector box, preventing the unfiltered gas from being directly discharged and ensuring the dust removal effect.
The dust collector box is the "body" of the filter cartridge dust collector, which plays a role in accommodating and protecting internal components. It is usually welded from steel plates, with good sealing and strength, able to withstand internal negative pressure and prevent gas leakage. The interior of the box is divided into multiple filter chambers based on the number and arrangement of filter cartridges.
The top of the box is equipped with a maintenance door, which facilitates personnel to enter the interior and install, replace, and inspect the filter cartridge; The bottom is designed as a funnel-shaped ash hopper, which is conducive to the collection and discharge of dust. At the same time, the surface of the box will undergo anti-corrosion treatment, such as spraying anti-corrosion paint, to adapt to different working environments and extend the service life of the equipment.
In order to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of the filter cartridge and avoid excessive accumulation of dust on the surface of the filter material affecting the filtration effect, the filter cartridge dust collector is equipped with a cleaning system, which is an important guarantee for maintaining equipment performance. Common cleaning methods include pulse jet cleaning and mechanical vibration cleaning, among which pulse jet cleaning is the most widely used.
The pulse jet cleaning system mainly consists of a pulse valve, a jet pipe, an air bag, etc. The airbag stores compressed air. When the set cleaning time is reached or the pressure difference before and after the filter cartridge reaches a certain value, the pulse valve opens, and the compressed air in the airbag is instantly sprayed into the interior of the filter cartridge at high speed through the spray pipe. The strong airflow impact causes severe expansion and contraction of the filter cartridge, and the dust adhering to the surface of the filter material falls off under the action of inertia and airflow, falling into the ash hopper. This cleaning method has the advantages of good cleaning effect, low energy consumption, and no damage to the filter material, which can quickly and effectively restore the filtering performance of the filter cartridge.
