The single machine filter cartridge dust collector is an integrated and miniaturized industrial dust removal equipment, with the filter cartridge as the core filtering element. It has the characteristics of small footprint, convenient installation, and high dust removal efficiency. It is widely used in small and medium air volume pollution source scenarios such as mechanical processing, welding, spraying, building materials, and chemical industry, and is one of the mainstream equipment to solve local dust pollution.
From a structural perspective, the single machine filter cartridge dust collector is designed in a modular manner, with core components including a filtration unit, ash cleaning system, airflow distribution device, ash hopper, and ash discharge valve. The filtration unit adopts a pleated filter cartridge, and the filter material is mostly polyester fiber, PTFE film, etc. The folding process greatly increases the filtration area. Under the same volume, the filtration area is 3-5 times that of traditional cloth bags, laying the foundation for efficient dust removal; The mainstream method for dust cleaning systems is pulse blowing, which uses compressed air to instantly blow the surface of the filter cartridge, quickly remove dust, avoid filter cartridge blockage, and ensure the continuous and stable operation of the equipment; The airflow distribution device optimizes the direction of dusty airflow through a guide plate to prevent direct flushing of the filter cartridge and reduce local wear; The ash hopper adopts a conical or square design, combined with star shaped discharge valves, flap valves and other ash discharge components, to achieve centralized collection and discharge of dust and avoid secondary dust.
In terms of working principle, a single machine filter cartridge dust collector follows the filtering logic of "external filter" or "internal filter". Taking the more widely used external filter as an example, the dusty gas enters the box through the equipment inlet, is guided by the airflow distribution device, and evenly passes through the filter material on the outside of the filter cartridge. The dust is trapped on the surface of the filter material, forming a "dust initial layer". The purified gas enters the clean air chamber through the inside of the filter cartridge and is finally discharged through the outlet. When the dust accumulation on the surface of the filter cartridge causes the equipment resistance to reach the set value, the dust cleaning system automatically starts, and the pulse valve sprays in sequence to shake off the dust to the ash hopper. After completing the dust cleaning, the equipment returns to normal filtering state. The entire process can be fully automated through the PLC control system without frequent manual intervention.
Compared to traditional single machine bag dust collectors, the advantages of single machine filter cartridge dust collectors are very significant. Firstly, the dust removal efficiency is higher, with a filtration efficiency of over 90% for fine dust particles with a diameter of 0.3-10 μ m, especially suitable for the treatment of fine dust such as welding fumes and cutting dust; Secondly, the operating resistance is lower. The pleated structure of the filter cartridge and the smooth surface of the filter material reduce the airflow resistance. The normal operating resistance is only 800-1200Pa, which is lower than the 1500-2000Pa of the bag filter and can reduce the energy consumption of the induced draft fan; Thirdly, the maintenance cost is lower, and the service life of the filter cartridge can reach 1-2 years. When replacing, there is no need to disassemble complex components, and a single person can complete it. Moreover, the filter cartridge is lightweight (usually less than 10kg per unit), greatly reducing maintenance workload; Fourthly, it has strong installation flexibility, and the equipment can be installed vertically, horizontally, or wall mounted according to on-site needs. The smallest model occupies only 0.5 square meters, making it suitable for small spaces such as workshop corners and production lines.
