Explosion proof dust collector is a specialized dust removal equipment designed for flammable and explosive dust (such as aluminum powder, coal powder, plastic powder, grain dust, etc.). With multiple explosion-proof protections, efficient dust removal, and safe and stable operation as its core advantages, it is widely used in industries with dust explosion risks such as chemical industry, grain processing, metal smelting, and plastic manufacturing. It can effectively capture flammable and explosive dust, while blocking explosion occurrence or controlling explosion hazards through explosion-proof design, ensuring the safety of production workshops and personnel.

From the perspective of structural design, the equipment is strengthened with explosion-proof configuration on the basis of conventional dust collectors. The core consists of an explosion-proof box, an anti-static filtering unit, an explosion-proof dust cleaning system, a pressure relief device, and a spark detection and extinguishing device. The explosion-proof box is made of thickened carbon steel or stainless steel material, which has been strengthened by welding and pressure testing, and can withstand the instantaneous pressure during dust explosion; The filtering unit uses anti-static filter cartridges (such as carbon fiber coated filter cartridges) to avoid static electricity generated by friction of the filter material. The installation of the filter cartridges uses conductive connectors to ensure timely discharge of static electricity; Dust cleaning systems often use low-pressure pulse blowing to avoid dust disturbance and explosion caused by high-pressure airflow, and the blowing components are all treated with anti-static measures; The pressure relief device (such as explosion-proof membrane, pressure relief valve) is installed on the side or top of the box, which can quickly release pressure in case of explosion and prevent the box from bursting; Some high-end models are equipped with spark detectors and water mist/inert gas fire extinguishing devices, which can monitor sparks in the intake in real time and extinguish them in a timely manner, blocking the cause of explosion from the source.

Its working principle follows the dual logic of "safety filtration+explosion-proof protection": gas containing flammable and explosive dust enters the equipment through the air inlet, is first detected by the spark detection device, and if sparks are found, the fire extinguishing device is activated for processing; Subsequently, the airflow passes through the anti-static filter cartridge, and the dust is trapped on the surface of the filter cartridge. The purified gas is discharged by the explosion-proof fan through the clean air chamber. When the accumulation of dust on the surface of the filter cartridge causes an increase in resistance, the explosion-proof cleaning system sprays low-pressure according to the program, and the dust falls into the anti-static ash hopper. The ash hopper is equipped with an explosion-proof star shaped discharge valve, and the dust is slowly discharged during unloading to avoid the rapid fall of dust and the generation of static electricity or dust clouds.

Compared to ordinary dust collectors, explosion-proof dust collectors have significant advantages: strong explosion-proof performance, multiple explosion-proof designs can deal with the three elements of "ignition source, combustible dust, and oxygen" in dust explosions, reducing the risk of explosions; High dust removal efficiency, with a filtration efficiency of over 90% for flammable and explosive dust particles above 0.3 μ m, reducing dust accumulation; Wide adaptability, can customize filter materials and explosion-proof solutions according to dust types (such as conductivity and ignition point), with a processing air volume coverage of 500-20000m ³/h. Attention should be paid when using: regularly check the sealing and effectiveness of the explosion-proof device to avoid blockage of the pressure relief device; The ash hopper needs to be promptly dusted to prevent dust accumulation from causing spontaneous combustion; The equipment needs to be reliably grounded to ensure static electricity discharge.
