Product Details

Activated carbon environmental protection adsorption box is an environmental protection equipment widely used in industrial waste gas treatment, air purification and water treatment, and its core function is to remove harmful substances in gases or liquids through the adsorption characteristics of activated carbon. As a porous material, activated carbon has a very high specific surface area and developed pore structure, which can effectively adsorb organic matter, odors, toxic gases and some heavy metal ions, so it plays an important role in environmental protection and industrial production. 1. The basic structure and working principle of the activated carbon environmental protection adsorption box Activated carbon environmental protection adsorption box is usually composed of the box, the activated carbon filling layer, the air inlet and outlet (or water inlet and outlet), the airflow distribution device and the supporting structure. According to different treatment objects, activated carbon adsorption boxes can be divided into two categories: gas adsorption boxes and liquid adsorption boxes. 1. Gas adsorption box: mainly used for industrial waste gas treatment, such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted by printing, coating, chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries. After the exhaust gas is introduced into the adsorption box through the fan, when it passes through the activated carbon layer, the pollutant molecules are adsorbed in the micropores of the activated carbon, and the purified gas is discharged up to the standard. 2. Liquid adsorption box: commonly used in the field of water treatment, used to remove organic matter, pigments, odors, etc. in water. When sewage passes through the activated carbon layer, impurities are adsorbed, thereby improving water quality. The adsorption capacity of activated carbon is closely related to its pore structure. The pores are divided into macropores (>50nm), medium pores (2-50nm) and micropores (<2nm), of which micropores account for the highest proportion, providing the main adsorption sites. The adsorption process can include both physical adsorption (van der Waals force) and chemical adsorption (chemical reaction after surface modification of activated carbon). 2. The main role of activated carbon environmental protection adsorption box 1. Industrial waste gas purification In chemical, spraying, electronic manufacturing and other industries, activated carbon adsorption box is the key equipment for treating VOCs. For example, after the exhaust gas of organic solvents such as benzene, toluene, and xylene passes through the adsorption box, the removal efficiency can reach more than 90%. Some adsorption boxes are also combined with catalytic combustion or desorption regeneration technology to realize the recycling of activated carbon. 2. Air purification and deodorization activated carbon environmental protection adsorption box can be used to purify the air in public places (such as hospitals, laboratories) or confined spaces (such as underground parking lots), effectively removing odors and harmful gases such as formaldehyde, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, etc. In domestic settings, small activated carbon filters are also commonly used in fresh air systems or air purifiers. 3. Water treatment application In the deep treatment of drinking water and industrial wastewater purification, the activated carbon adsorption box can remove residual chlorine, phenols, pesticide residues and other pollutants in the water. For example, after the adsorption of activated carbon in printing and dyeing wastewater, the color and COD (chemical oxygen demand) are significantly reduced. 4. Emergency pollution treatment In sudden environmental pollution events (such as chemical leaks), mobile activated carbon adsorption devices can be quickly deployed to adsorb toxic gases or liquids and reduce the spread of hazards.
